After four games, Real Madrid is the only undefeated team in Spain’s La Liga. The defending Spanish and European champions had a perfect score after defeating Real Betis on Saturday by a score of 2-1.
The defeat for Betis, which was settled by a goal from Rodrygo in the 65th minute after the teams traded goals in the first half, destroyed its unblemished record. Just one minute after entering the game in the second half as a substitute, Fede Valverde contributed to the goal by setting up his Brazilian teammate for the game-winning goal.
The visitors made a strong start to the game, but Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid took advantage when a penalty appeal was turned down. To sprint onto a ball, the Brazilian star outran the offside trap.
